Retail Store Manager – St Albans

Due to our recent expansion plans, we are looking to recruit an experienced Store Manager to join our team in our St Albans showroom.

Are you:

· Eager to learn, highly motivated and ambitious with the capability to become a key member of our sales team?

· Confident and charismatic to achieve sales through face to face contact in our showrooms or through phone and other contacts?

You will be recognised for delivering outstanding customer service, achieving the right outcome for the customer and the business.

You will learn and develop a wide range of product knowledge to help customers choose the right look for their home. An eye for interior design is also very useful here. You will also calculate quantities and specify requirements, produce quotes and process orders.

Full UK driving licence desirable.

Experience of selling in a similar or complementary field (such as a kitchen showroom) is desirable but not essential as it’s finding the right person which is most important.

Warehouse Operative

We are looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative to join our growing team at our head office and warehouse location near Wetherby, in North Yorkshire. We import natural stone and porcelain tiles and other products from around the world and we have five retail showrooms across the UK.

As a Warehouse Operative you will drive folk lift trucks, pick and pack orders, and have a keen eye for quality control. You will work Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm and your role will include:

  • Stacking and packing heavy goods & quality checking as per agreed standards
  • Receive container deliveries – especially quality control, as per agreed standards
  • Fabrication of stone and sample cutting using a wet cutter
  • Support the set up of exhibitions
  • Delivering small customer orders & hand balling heavy goods
  • Warehouse and yard tidying and cleaning
  • Following waste and recycling procedures
  • Following processes for deliveries in and out
  • Warehouse security
  • Provide cover for others as needed
  • Following H&S procedures
  • Help to conduct stock takes

Other Skills & Experience
• Numeracy skills
• Positive and pro-active approach to change and keen to help the business continuously improve.
• Able to use own initiative to highlight areas of concern, improvement ideas, and organise own workload
• A flexible approach to work and the ability to work with changing demands

  • Folk lift truck licence essential
  • Full UK driving licence essential
